Early this week it became apparent that Metacritic was getting spawned with reviews from members who kept rating the game 0. This brought the game’s average down to 1.6. [Person name] reached out on his twitter asking for help from his followers to go state their honest opinion about the game, hoping that it would help buffer out the score. So, far it’s only raised it to a 3.1.

All major gaming sites that have been posting news on MW3 are getting a backlash of negative comments. My favorites stating that the game is nothing but a $60 map pack for MW2. It seems a lot of people are really upset because a new Call of Duty is released every year. People see it as an easy ploy for game developers to get some cash.
Probably not the greatest time to announce a new game coming for next year.
Honestly, about a year from now I’ll be a bit sick of MW3 and willing to grab at the next title. Right now it might not seem very appealing, but after a year of any game you need a little something to change it up. I mean isn’t that why Facebook is constantly changing their layout? We may not like subtle changes, but we need them to stay interested.
Elite gets tons of hate too, not only are these people changing $60 for a game, but their also coming up with a subscription service of $50 a year. How dare them for changing people $110 a year to play a game.
Hmm, let’s look at another upcoming popular game, Star Wars: The Old Republic. Standard Edition is selling for $60, and if we take their cheapest subscription plan you end up paying $155.88 a year. I’m not insulting SWTOR here, that game is amazing. Just stating if COD is main game one new game a year + elite isn’t that bad of a deal. Not to mention you don’t actually have to pay for the premium Elite service.
